About me

I'm an experienced South Wales based Cameraman / Shooting Director and Producer who works in broadcast, commercials and branding. I have strong technical skills shooting on a variety of different cameras; I'm also a gimbal operator. I am used to working within various sized production crews, however one of my specialisms is being able to work independent of the production team if needed. Instances include being sent as a solo cameraman all around Australia including the outback, deep into the Peruvian Amazon on an expedition, shoots in India, UAE, Sweden and covering the high profile World Economic forum in Switzerland. These type of projects require a huge amount of trust in my ability. I'm meticulous, resourceful and well organised. I'm not shy of hard work, the pressure of responsibility or long hours. I've worked in various climates, from jungle and desert to mountains and the extreme cold. I'm used to working around high profile people and celebrities, and have a great amount of experience working with Police forces across the UK creating appeal films and accompanying officers as a cameraman on raids and operations. I own a lot of my own kit if needed including a SONY FS7. I've made an effort to have diversity in my work across many mediums as I find variety inspires creativity and to always be and progressive.

Camera : Canon C300, XF305, Sony F5, FS7, A7sii, Arri Alexa mini, RED Epic. Experienced gimbal operator.

Editing : Premier Pro CC / some AVID experience.

Driving : UK Car driving license, have driven up to 3.5 ton vans.

Vaccinations : Yellow Fever, Hep A & B, Tetanus, Rabies, Typhoid, TB.

BBC training : BBC Location lighting certificate, health and safety at work, safeguarding trust, data protection, legal.

Arri training : Arri Academy Lighting for HD television drama (Nov 2012)

Extra training / experience / achievements

Trained and worked as a Stage and Company Manager and basic technician. Have extensive theatre production experience.

Winner of the Gemma Sharpe memorial award for student that has given the most to college life 2001/2002 (Royal Welsh College).

Student Union vice president / Welfare officer / Academic board representative (June 2001 – July 2003).

Head Boy pupil of Bishop Gore Comprehensive School, Swansea 1998/1999.
